Having been involved in Taekwondo for over 30 years, Master Young is a Kukkiwon certified 6th Dan Black Belt as well as being awarded the distinction of Certified Kukkiwon Master.
Master Young is experienced at teaching Taekwondo to economically disadvantaged youth as well as children with mental and behavioral challenges. As a competitor in both sparring and forms, Master Young has seen success at numerous local, national and international tournaments. He was a silver medalist in sparring in the 2001, 2002, and 2003 USTU (United States Taekwondo Union) Nationals and in 2004 he placed third in sparring in the Diamond Nationals Open Karate Championships. Master Young holds a B.A. in Counseling, a Masters in Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in Marital and Family Therapy. He is employed as a school social worker for Minneapolis Public Schools and is a licensed independent social worker. Master Young is a long time resident of Woodbury, MN and serves as a member of the Board of Elders at his church. |
Michele Pollard is a Kukkiwon certified 1st Dan black belt. She is a mother of four who started training at Young’s Taekwondo School four
years ago with her children. She currently helps with kids classes and teaches a toddler class on Tuesday mornings. She has a background in education and communications. She has a B.A. in English and an M.A. in communication studies. Mr. Thor is a Kukkiwon Certified 3rd Degree Black Belt. He stated in Taekwondo training at the age of 8 and has competed in many tournaments in form and sparring. Outside of Taekwondo, Mr. Thor enjoys competitive video gaming, drawing, hunting, fishing and all-terrain riding.
Mr. Miller has trained in Martial Arts for over 10 years. He has been an instructor at Young's Taekwondo School since 2010 and teaches Weapons Class on Tuesday evening.
